Often times, when you ask an enthusiast what a good weekend or hobby car would be for less than $ 10,000, the answer will come in the form of Mazda MX-5 Miata. These little cars are endlessly customizable and inexpensive. But the Miata is not the only answer. Indeed there is many used sports cars that can fit the bill.
The list of cars below is by no means exhaustive, but it does highlight a few selected examples of sports cars that have some cult following. The values are based on the good condition rating from the Kelley Blue Book tool for rating used vehicles.
